Growing your Facebook Business Page Audience Part 1

Facebook Business Pages are still a vital part to the digital marketing mix in this series, which has taken a lot to decide on whether or not to do it, we’re going to explore whether we can grow our Facebook reach, engagement and audience as a direct result

Some of my ideas for a blog series varied from how to make money from your domain, through to guess the shirt I’m wearing, ok I’m being a little dramatic on the whole guess what shirt I’m wearing thing.

But, the good news is I have my very first series, welcome.

Growing your Facebook Business Page Audience - Part 1

About this series

This series is intended to be a guide on how to grow your Business Facebook Page Audience in 2020.

At a time when Facebook has already dramatically cut the organic reach for Business Pages across its platform. At a time when the business is relatively know in the local area and at a time when we don’t have a clear social media strategy for our Facebook page.

So lets get started with some numbers:

Our Own Facebook Business Page

Our own Facebook Business Page can be found at, do hop over an take a look at some of the content and if you like give our page a like as well

At present we post here and there, its all very adhoc and with very little consistency.

As a website design agency, that is keen on using social media and its relevant services, its high time we took this seriously and grew our Facebook Business Page Audience.

Our Goals for the Facebook Business Page Series

Keep it SMART

As this will be a series we’re going to apply our SMART acronym to the series which stands for Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic and Time.

I intend to grow our Facebook Post Reach, and Engagement, which will result in the number of Page Likes increasing as a direct result.

I aim to grow the Facebook Page Likes to 1,000 or more within 6 months from today i.e. 29th July 2020

I will be measuring the success and failure of this by using the Post Reach and Engagement metrics shown in the above table and ultimately the number of people that click the like button as a result of engaging with our content.

It is achievable, it will be hard going and a tough work out, but I’m for the challenge. If we achieve it our reward will be a new Smart Watch.

In the event we do not achieve the target by the milestone, we’ll have gained a lot of experience along the way.

We will celebrate key milestones along the route

I have the tools and know how to turn this series into a success and will by July 29th 2020 have a Facebook Page that is reaching its audience and has increased the number of page likes.

This series will run for 6 months, with weekly check ins being carried out on a Wednesday.

So that’s the housekeeping taken care of.

Wait I want to do this with you?

If you’re up for the challenge, why not have a go at doing this with me, each week I’ll be sharing some of the techniques I’ve used to help build up my post reach, engagement and of course the likes.

To start with, I highly recommend you hop onto your Facebook Business Page, have a look at it, especially your About tab, make sure you’re 100% happy with it and then start planning how you intend to grow your audience

Let me know how you’re getting on by emailing me on

Next week I’ll be sharing some of the techniques I tried and I really hope you will join me on it as well.
