How we’re handling the coronavirus outbreak
Its always difficult to know what to say or write, especially in times of major uncertainty.
With the outbreak of the coronavirus a couple of months ago in China, I was very much of the mindset that it wouldn’t effect the UK and in turn our business.
However, that just isn’t the case, so I’ve put together this short statement in regards to how Boost Digital Media is handling the coronavirus.
At present our studios in Torquay remain open for business and will continue to do so until the government order a complete lock down or if I become unwell or should I need to self isolate.
However, for your comfort and general health we are asking that all meetings be held online using either Google Hangouts or Zoom.
Whilst we are open the internal areas of the studio are cleaned on a daily basis.
Computer equipment including, mouse, keyboard, monitors and all telecommunication equipment is cleaned before use and after use.
We are also disallowing the consumption of food within our studios or anywhere near our computer equipment.
Where possible we have asked our staff to work from home, in accordance with the governments guidance.
We have also increased the number of times we wash our hands.
Door handles are also cleaned on a daily basis.
In the event government issues a complete lock down, our studios in Torquay will close until such a time we are told it is safe to re-open.
For clients that are currently having their websites built, all meetings will be conducted online, or via telephone call.
We will continue to use our client support systems to ensure projects are built on time and to keep client communication channels open.
Internally, our staff will be using Slack and email to keep in touch, as well as holding a week video conference call to ensure we have prioritised the work load accordingly.
For websites that we’re currently hosting, our supplier has informed us they have the resources in place to maintain the same standard of service that we have been giving to our clients for the better part of 12 months.
For printed orders, we have arranged for the items to come to our studios, if you have an order that is due to be collected, please call us in advance so we can place the parcel outside our studios.
Please note we will not do this if there is no one at the studio.
Should you have any concerns or questions, please get in touch and we shall do our best to help answer them.
In the mean time, please keep safe, warm and stay well.
