This is a completely FREE training session and would normally cost around £60.00 when delivered on a one-to-one basis. However, we wanted to share with you some of the knowledge we have gained from using WordPress over the past 13 years.

Robert Haylor will be hosting this one-hour event on the 25th of August 2023. Robert has extensive knowledge of WordPress having been using the content management system since version 2. During the workshop, he will be taking a look at some of the basic functionality of WordPress as well as giving participants an opportunity to ask any questions they may have about the content management system.

Getting to the office for 9am

We know that the working day starts at 9am which is why our aim with this workshop is to give you all the tools and knowledge you need to go ahead and get started on those WordPress tasks. The Workshop will finish promptly at just before 9am, giving you enough time to either get to the office or jump straight into your WordPress dashboard armed with the knowledge you need to get the most out of your content management system.

What WordPress topics will we cover?

• WordPress, what is it, the different types of WordPress, what version you have and how to login to your system.
• The admin panel: Getting you familiar with the admin panel, the different post types, the different areas and how to add images before you even start writing any kind of content for your website. 
• Plugins:- We'll take a dive into how you can extend the functionality of your WordPress website through the implementation of plugins as well as the benefits and draw backs of them. 
• Adding a Post:- We'll add a new post, an image, choose a category, and then we'll click that all-important publish button. Did we also mention we'd touch on what you can do once you've published your first article?
• Adding a page:- We'll take a look at adding a page, how it compares to a post and why these are important for the success and longevity of your website
